Give credit where its due..this is a bad *** straight line car..pulley swap, tune and slicks then you will be in low 10s..i just dont undestand why they put 275s on it

I agree it would be badass as a DD but Ive been in a regular Challenger and boy is the weight noticeable. With 700HP though may chage things a bit......

I was under the thought that DA isn't that significant of an issue at altitude as it is with natural aspiration.

No, it's not as significant, but the turbos suffer less than the blowers. 9000' DA is pretty significant too, I bet it's still a full second faster at sea level.

9000ft is pretty high..I go to Denver for vehicle testing many times a year and one of the areas we use is ~9000 ft which is Dillon CO...off I70. Blower or TC, modern cars have the capability to adjust and compensate for the altitude..in short terms, higher you go the more boost you will make due to lack of air...with NA cars the compensations are very minimum, you just cannot make up for the lack of air. So a NA cars will be a lot slower than a forced induction car at altitude.

I saw official 0-60 times posted this weekend on their stock tires. 4.7 The article basically said they were having a difficult time putting the power down.

It's typical Chrysler, or whatever they're called. Great big badass motor, in a giant turd body. This' the same formula they've employed since the 60's. I like the looks, but when you get up close, you can see how large they are. OTOH, I wish the 'Vette had smaller outside dimensions, too. The 300 chassis is based on a old E-series Mercedes, but it still performs pretty well.

Realizing the cost of tires, ya think most rear tires will go past 10K miles?

True, but the Challenger was not built to compete with the Vette either. Dodge has another car for that!

The Challenger is competing for the muscle car segment primarily against Mustang and Camaro. They are doing very well in that segment, very well indeed.

For a family person who has only one vehicle for him/herself and one other to haul the family around in, the Challenger is a very nice option. Not the 700 HP version, but the SRT8 version. It is very hard to get more than two people in a Vette and very easy in a Challenger.

It is fast enough for me, and to get a speeding ticket.
