[Z06] what is diff between zo6 and c5 bra

what is diff between zo6 and c5 bra
i know the zo6 discontinued due to lack of interest i guess but will the reg c5 bra work or does it cause some type of problem. would like one for long road trips to protect nose. guess i should not have sold my zo6 bra years ago

lil confused as to why the Z06 was discontinued? that does not make any sense, and to boot any C5 bra from 97-04 will be the exact same on any of the models

I was only guessing on why discontinued, thought someone might know and I know they will fit but was thinking maybe difference was only air vents, fog/driving lites on reg c5 or something else. Any issues with rubbing at freeway speeds etc. thanks.

The initial difference between the official GM bra for C5 and C5Z06 was that the C5 bra had clear plastic over the air intakes and the Z06 bra had screen.
Eventually they realised that C5s need to breathe too so they stopped making the C5 bra and now they are all Z06 style.
I bought a Z06 specific bra for my Z06 when it was new in '02 and I know this was the difference.

so to recap, if i buy a new c5 it will have the plastic, not screen....how do you like yours, any rubbing when used at freeway speeds and does it protect the hood any of just the nose and area below hood gap? thanks.

The only clear plastic on ZO6 BRA is a small window over license plate area. The brake duct & screen areas are completely opened...secured with felt tabs which are inserted into those areas. It's 2-piece....the 2nd piece covers part of hood...secured with loops that go around hood liner plastic clips. Love mine! Excellent fit...no rubbing. Never leave home without it... clean, chip-free front-end is the proof....unfortunately, no one ever sees it
