Might I also add that I have an '03 Z06 so I'm thinking I have the all steel shift forks..

When was yours built? They switched the 3-4 fork to steel partway through the model year, just like they did with the fuel system and the valvesprings

I have broke shift forks before. Not in a t56 but in a t5. I suspect you will know exactly when it happens. If the shifter is stuck its most likely not the shift fork. as when they break they generally clear the gear. and you can move the shifter but not the selector or i guess they call it the outer ring of the syncro assembley on these transmissions.

If its stuck in gear its the keys.

I have an 03 it had the aluminium 3/4 fork. It was built in December of 02. just ge tto pulling the trans, whatever it is wont repair itself.
