Which is faster? stock C6Z or C5Z 450whp..
Anyone have a real world experience?? I'm curious which car would be faster from say 50-150 a bone stock C6Z06 or a C5Z06 making 450 at the tire. drivers equal. Maybe to close to call?

One car smoking another car is just a silly statement since you dont even have any proof or data backing up your claim.
C5 is slightly lighter
C6 is geared better to put down the power and the 427 will most likely provide more torque.
I say it would be a very close race and most likely dependent on driver and tires.
Watch video... In the comments it states the C5Z is at 422rwhp.... I dont see 25hp making much of a difference.

Real world experience??? Hundreds of laps in my 450 rwhp C5Z running with my buddy's stock C6Z. Similar driving styles and experience and both cars have modified suspensions and Stoptechs. Result - almost a dead heat on a merry go round. The C6 will pull you a bit on corner exit and the C5 will catch up by the end of the straight.
On a tight track the C6's torque has an advantage.

430 is really on the low side most put out around 450 stock both a 450hp c5 z with 3.42's and a stock C6 z should hit low 11's and around 125 in the 1/4 4.10's and Drag Radials on the C5z and my money's on that.

450whp C5Z is going to be pretty much dead even or slightly edging out w/ a C6Z I would guess if it were "stock" (that vid showed a 422whp C5Z vs. a intake/tuned/exhaust C6Z which aint stock a tune/intake should net another 30whp)
That is until the C6Z drops a valve and blows the motor and the C5Z keeps chugging by.....lol!

Yup I was going to say not exactly an apples to apples comparison...if you're talking about faster in the 1/4 a C5 Z with slicks, 4.10's tune and some bolt ons will beat most c6 Z's in the 1/4 it won't mph as high but it can get there quicker.

I have real world experience from when my C5Z was heads/cam/intake making around 470rwhp. I ran a C6Z with just an airbox and tune making 470rwhp, he beat me by a good 2 car lengths every time. He would just steadily pull me, I'd say 2 cars from 60-130mph. We were equal drivers, both with 100s of passes down the 1/4 mile and would run with hundredths of one-another when we had identical C5 FRCs. The 7.0L torque and flat power curve just cannot be beat when peak numbers are equal. This is the same reason why my 470rwhp heads/cam NA car would pull on supercharged "500+rwhp" cars.
It wasn't long after losing that race that I purchased an LS7 for my C5Z.

I ran my buddies stock(might be tuned unsure) c6z Sunday. My c5z is cammed, cai, lt's, tuned. It makes 430 ish. I desperately need a clutch. You will see in the video, I spun on the hit at 50mph in 2nd. By the top of 3rd, my clutch pedal was on the floor and I couldn't lift it to shift into 4th. His car is slightly stronger as you can see. He slightly pulls on me in 3rd.
