Default Tire size on 19 inch rear

I am looking into switching to an 18 front 19 rear what size tires seems to fit the best 02 Z06 stock height.

265/35-18|295/30-19 is the standard +1 size. A lot of guys do a 305/30-19 to get some more rubber out back. I had 255/40-18|295/35-19, which filled the wheelwell gap better, offered more ground clearance, and allowed more speed in each gear when I bought my car, but you'd have to retune it or your speedo would be off if you did anything but the first combo I mentioned.

How is the speedometer re-calibrated with the 305 on the back? I'm considering that option. Thanks.

I run the 305/30-19 on my car and the speedo isn't off by enough to notice or care.

For 305/30-19s vs 295/30-19s, we're only talking about a couple MPH, but if you wanted it accurate you would have a tuner fix it with HPTuners or EFILive

You could also fix it with one of the handhelds, but that's a lot of money for not a lot of results

Yeah, it wouldn't be much. My speedo was still factory with the 295/35-19s (+1 inch over stock), so it was quite noticeable vs the GPS, and I had it fixed when I got the car retuned. I have 305/30s ready to go on now (-.5 inch from the 295/35s), so I will just plug in my laptop (I have HPTuners now) and fix it myself.

Do you have these on a 10" wheel? If not does the 305 fit right on a 10" wheel or is 10.5 better?

I'd only run a 275 or 285 on a 10" wheel.

The Hankook that I have recommends a 10.5-11.5" wide wheel. I have 19x11s on my car.

This website is fantastic for sorting wheel sizes, speedos etc in case some are not aware.

What's the width of our original Z06 wheels that our 295 tires are on?

so would i

but

19x10 puts him in an odd postion

295 30 19 would likely fit, especially in a more narrow tire like the s04

if it was a 10.5" wheel like the tsw's you could use a wider 295 30 19 like the pss or a narrow 305 like the hankook v12

if the front is 18x9 you use 265 35 18, if it's 9.5 you could use 275 35 18 if you have 305 out back

I'm considering the TSW's in 18x9 and 19x10.5 with PSS tires. Sounds like the PSS tires would work well.

That looks great! No rubbing, no issues with AH and they don't stick out of the fender openings, right? Thanks for posting! Looks like the rears are on backorder right now. :-(

10.5" but the OEM 295's were also pretty narrow, like 10.2" tread width if memory serves. A lot of current 275's are the same width as those tires.

295s are perfectly ok on a 10" wheel and within the OEM recommended range for every manufacturer. I got my car with 295/35-19s on C6 19x10s out back.

Thanks. It's just a matter of finding them now. They're on BO on Tire Rack and Discount Tires.
