Book shows it at 1.8hrs

To elaborate though, the book shows 3.8hrs to drop tanks, which is necessary. The book, on this job, doesnt reflect the common cost people incur, which is in the 1500.00+ range.

What diagnostics have led you to be so certain?

I thought on the 03's and up you had to drop the drive line out , then that would give you access to the fuel tanks ?

I was told mine has the ffS fuel system and i was told the rear end has to be dropped out too. I guess anyone with a 2002 less c5 has it easy.

The car runs great when its start up and after a hour of cruising i lose fuel pressure bogs like hell if you step on it and today actually just stalled in the middle of town. I let it sit for 3 hrs came back drove it home like nothing even happened to it. It has the Areomotive Stealth Eliminator fuel pump in it. Im stumped.

The FFS fuel system was implemented mid 2003 model year. If I understand correctly, you should be able to determine if you car has FFS by looking at the RPO codes in the glove box. I'm not sure what the VIN breakpoint is so maybe someone else can chime in. The last way would require you to get under the car. A non FFS has an external fuel filter located on the left frame rail next to the tank.

If you determine you don't have FFS, change the filter and see what happens. Save yourself some money by using a WIX filter rather than buying AC Delco. A non FFS car does not need tanks dropped to change pump. If you can change a tire you have enough skills for the job. It took about 3 hrs for me to change both units in my car. I don't know what it takes to do a FFS model.
