Rear Diff is Cracked after first time to the 1320.....
Well this winter we upgraded to Driveline and thought it was enough................WRONG!!!
Ls2 w a Custom Grind Cam is under the Hood, 425whp/400Ft Lbs
We put a new McCloud RXT Twin Disc in (Which is hands down a Bad ****!!!!)
ECS Trans Brace
Pfat Rear End Mount
Hinson Super Cars Motor Mounts
AND a set of Nitto 555Rs.....
Went to Indy for the Vette shoot out just to run it twice to try for an 11 Flat and First Pass I think Cracked it and the 2nd time in the Burn Out Box the Diff Case cracked right where the Bolt Threads into the rear diff at thru the Pfat Rear End mount......crack continued down from there
Kick A$$ Clutch+ Nitto Drag Radials....= No GO!!!

Sucks, good luck with the rebuild. I've had to rip apart the diff twice, isn't fun.

Bummer...
Unfortunately, racing = broken parts...and more HP = more broken parts.
It's just part of the game and the main reason I don't race. It IS a ton of fun, though...
Good luck with repairs!

It only takes one hop, if it's stressful enough. I broke one hitting third gear hard. Good luck with the fix. I went with a built diff. by Rick@ RKT56.com.

This is why I dont like to run mine at the strip, only ran it once so far. Ran my 97 LT1 z hundreds of times, loved racing that car. It was set up to handle the 1/4 though, HD torque arm, strong clutch, 12 bolt etc. That car could take a beating at the track and never broke anything.

Spun 1st, hopped a bit in 2nd, w a 2.6 60ft we ran a 12.2@120.9mph
Cars been 11.44@124mph (Ran by previous owner) w the old on it's way out Ls7 Clutch, just finished putting a McCloud RXT in this winter.
I was only gonna run the car that day for funny and be done w track driven it, I put on the ECS Trans brace and the Pfadt Rear mount at the time of the RXT install to prevent this from happening..... No more 1320 time for this car ever again! It was bought for a fun street car and will stay that way.

Looked up that clutch, didnt know much about it. From the looks of it, solid unsprung hub designed to hold 1000hp Id say that was the main problem for your transaxle. That thing sounds like a beastly clutch!

the torque tube couplers are what would worry me, if the shock is enough to break cases like that the couplers are getting raped dry

I broke my case output shaft in trans and ate the ls9 clutch. Power shifted into 2nd and kabooy. Sounds like the car was previously owned just like mine. I am willing to bet there were a few banzai runs with severe wheel hop that weakened the drivetrain. If they wheel hop all the time it's not if but when it will break no matter how strong the parts
