Default Homemade rear Splash Guards/Mud Flaps

Got totally sick of constantly wiping down the sides of my quarter panels and bumper cover from the constant dust build up.. and with the new tires for whatever reason it got 3x as bad.

Not too many options in getting splash gears for the rears because of my flared out rear bumper... so I made my own.

Let me know your thoughts......

Without my ghetto mud flaps..

With....... BTW... they totally work.. went on a extensive drive and absolutely zero dust build up on the sides what normally would already have looked like a nightmare.

Looks like Rubber Neoprene pad. Because of the white rope that is inside of it looks like it is showing on the outside... idk...

Purchased one semi-trailer mud flap.. 24x30" in size.. Oreillys $11.99
Super Duty 3M double sided tape.

I trimmed a 24" long piece from each side of the mud flap and taped it on vs using any screws because I wasnt sure how I would like the look and if they would even remedy my problem.

Seeing how well the 3M tape works I'm pretty sure I'll leave it as is.

From behind it doesnt even look like theyre on because they blend in with the tires. I was going for a very subtle look, something that you dont even notice... I am normally VERY anti mud flaps on a vette.. did this because the dust was killin' me!!

Thanks for the info. I am going to investigate this before buying the C6 flaps. Any chance we could see the inside of your wheel well where the flaps attach?

About what you'd expect, for the cost. Not too bad, if you take a permanent marker and paint the white threads. Cheap, and replaceable.

What I like about them most is that your eyes are not drawn to them.. really unnoticeable unless you point them out. The white cords look 10x worse on pic for some reason.. must have been the lighting bc they're almost impossible to spot in person.

They're staying on for now.. or until I find a better replacement.
