01 Z06, high miles...139k...cam?
I have an 01 Z06 with about 139k miles on it. Car runs great.
To my knowledge, the internals are stock. Since the car has been in my posession I have added an all aluminum radiator, GM motorsport wires, new plugs, zip tie mod.
The car already had SLP loudmouth exhaust on it and some pfadt suspension. Not sure that it has anything else. Though I could be wrong. I dont know the previous owner as I got it from a dealer in another state.
With that said, I am looking at wanting to do a cam. I love BIG cams, and am use to driving cammed cars from my past two. Had surgey idles, etc...They are not my daily drivers, so street manners isnt too big of a concern for me. I love the lope. I want a cam that will produce decent power, but support future mods. At first will probably just be bolt on NA power stuff....but one day in the future id like to go full build forced induction, but that will be a while and I would probably be changing the cam at that time anyway.
With that said, what is something that would work for my needs?
Also, any recommendations on supporting springs and rods, etc?

Don't worry about the mileage. I had 157,xxx when I did heads cam and full exhaust on my Z.
Certainly, if you do a cam, you should do springs. But, I think you already know this based on your post.
Stock bottom ends hold up just fine on a heads and cam car.
Good luck with your project.

Most NA cams will work well with a centri blower.
Texas Speed Torquer V2 cam (232/234 .595"/.598") on a 112lsa worked just fine NA and with a blower.

Pull the heads and do new lifters and lifter trays at the same time. It's a lot more work, but highly recommended. LS7 lifters are fine for the job.

check compression and leakdown before you up the power. provided they are good, mod away.
if you have a low cylinder or some other issue, it's really going to show up when you cam the car
