Just wanted to chime in since I really havent since I put in the fog lights, but an FYI since 1/14/14 with the HID 55w lights in, no melting of any sort in the housing everything intact and functioning.

Hi everyone, does anyone know if the wires for the stock fog lights are there from factory on a 2000 C5 and also the wire behind the switch on the dash?

With the OEM harness I was able to separate all the weather-tite plugs and terminate the connections without cutting or splicing a single wire, and that made me very happy. There are actually two open positions in the terminal block which connect to the fog light relay, you do not have to splice into the purple wire, all you need is the factory harness or the GM terminal ends. With it done this way it is very hard to tell it's not a factory install.
I am planning the same OEM fog light install. Can anyone help by noting what the two open positions are that connect to the fog light relay? Thank you very much.
