Default Front camber/caster adjustment

I noticed some wear on inside fronts of my 03 Z06 took it for alignment. Toe was adjusted but the Hunter alignment machine shows an adjustable cam assembly on the front; no such critter on my Z06. Is there supposed to be? How is camber/caster adjusted? This is probably pretty basic stuff, but I'm no mechanic, just enjoy the experience.

your car has cam eccentrics on the front lower control arms used to adjust camber and caster on the front.

Default Same here...

Changed my oil last weekend and noticed something white out of the corner of my eye...no rubber on the inside edge of my driver front tire! Looks like I need 2 tires and an alignment. Had good tread on the rest of the tire. The other side has worn the same but not as bad

If there isn't enough adjustment in the cam bolts then shims can be inserted between the upper a-arm and frame. The shop I went to didn't know what they were doing and gave me the car back adjusted so that the front tires wore out in two months. A better shop added shims to the a-arms to provide the correct alignment specs.

OK, thanks guys. Just got an email from MA Motorworks and they can order for me, apparently same ones that are on the rear.

If you want longer tire life ask for "0" camber. I took mine to the GM dealer after two sets of tires to have new tires installed and they told me the camber is set up for handling and that could set it at "0" to increase tire life. I did notice some loss of sharpness in handling but I was having to replace front tires at 13K miles. The tire wear is now even and I can see them going at least 20K miles or more. They are the same tires.

Tommie, you're right! Found out from the prior owner that original factory adjustables were replaced by a camber plate and stud kit. He also told me the factory originals are in a box of stock parts he gave me, so I'm all set.
