Clutch Fluid needed to be changed!! Real Bad!
Well my clutch pedal was starting to stick to the floor after high rpm acceleration. Did a little looking on the forum and Ranger to the rescue. Checked the fluid and it was BLACK!!! Went the the store and got fluid and started changing it out. Had my helpers push the pedal 30 times between each fluid extraction and refill. About 30 cycles later clean as can be. Added some pics of the progress. Everything is all good again. This was on my 02 Z with 58k miles.
First glass
Second glass. Still black
All the sudden clear and clean. Went from black to just clear the next time. Wasn't expecting that. Thought it would gradually get more clear.
My wonderfull help.

Good job.
Once you've gotten it really clean once, you'll probably only have to replace the reservoir fluid like once a month from here on out to keep your clutch behaving nicely. I also found that using a higher temp fluid, like ATE Super Blue, increases pedal consistency.

Its funny i checked my other 02 z (silver one) and it was clean as can be. I have had the car for 10,000 miles and only a year so I don't know the last time it was done. Ill just keep checking them every so often.

I bleed mine every 3 months to keep it clear (~800 miles). I can feel my clutch pedal start to get stiffer at that point. There is always a layer of black stuff at the bottom of my reservoir at the end of the 3rd month. Its a very common issue on the C5/C6's. I can feel my clutch "free" up a bunch after bleeding my fluid too.
I'm just glad I have a remote bleeder now. My foot used to ache after so much pumping.....

That seems like a lot. It isn't black like this every time you do it is it?

Once you've cleaned out the entire system once, you just need to empty the reservoir every once in a while, and wipe it out if there's residue in the bottom before refilling. No need to do all the pedal pumping again. Toque's ~800 mile suggestion jives with my personal routine of once every 3-4 weeks.
