Front fascia options...
Well it happened....nice day out here in SoCal, dropped the top and took the Vett out. Three lanes of traffic, I'm comming up the far right lane, lanes 1 and 2 were stopped, (not at a cross-walk, just stopped for the light ahead), when all of a sudden a lady decides to make a left turn in front of me. Lanes one and two had stopped to let this lady make her left turn. T-boned her passenger side. Two strikes against the other driver, 1-no left turns between 3pm-6pm, (two huge signs state same), it was 5:15pm, 2- she violated my right of way by turning across my lane. Lanes 1 and 2 can stop, and give permission to cross in front of them, but lanes 1 and 2 can't wave the driver through lane 3, which I was in. I have made that same turn numerous times, during legal hours, and when I can't see down the lane, I creep out, don't just go flying out across a lane I can't see if a car is coming or not. Anyway, called my insurance, then my friend at the body shop. Taking Vett in next Tuesday for estimate. Front fascia is destoyed, no damage to hood, front fenders or headlights. Car drives fine. Now have to decide do I go with stock front fascia, or something like this......

Thoughts on front fascia replacements? My 99 'vert is SS, with Z06 Speedlines, Z06 rear ducts, (real ones, lol), and Euro taillamps, (red/clear). I did my mods based on what was OEM for the C5 gen, so maybe stay with OEM fascia?

A very good choice would be the Tiger Shark front fascia.

Yes, I looked at those too. Based on past experiences with my insurance, (Mercury), they will give the shop the OK to replace with an OEM front fascia, but I can then turn around and have the shop order a different fascia. I don't think in this case the dollars for the OEM fascia will be more than the TS, or equal to, but I could pay the difference.

That fascia looks to be a C6 replica, I believe "quick z06" sells them. You might want to check out this thread before you pull the trigger...pricing should be lower then OEM

I'd go with an authentic Tigershark bumper. Everyone who has the authentic one says how the fit was so good. You can wind up paying the same price getting other bumpers to fit right.

I like the looks of the stock OME front end. never been a fan of the Tiger Shark and the other bumper that is designed off the C6 from everyone that has installed it, it requires some work to get it to fit properly. So if you are going with one of the aftermarkets. I would go with the Tiger Shark. As already stated the fit is near if not perfect. If you will be paying the difference, you will have not only the cost of the bumper difference, but also the labor of fitting the new bumper.

Stick with OEM or go with this Tigershark original. I've never been a fan of the C6 front/rear mods. If you really want your C5 to look like a C6, get a C6 and enjoy the other benefits and improvements of the current generation.

I'd put it back like it was with stock parts.
