Scotty

Scotty,

The interior is pretty understated. It's all black, with red stitching, done by Vette Essentials, and includes the seats, door arm rests, center console, shift boot, shift ****, parking brake boot, parking brake handle, and traction control switch panel. I also had them convert the plain Z06 seats so they have shoulder harness openings for my TeamTech Jet Pilot restraint system. I use a HardBar harness bar, with their extenders. I also installed a Z06 Parts partition between the passenger compartment and the trunk.

I have a shortened MGW Limited shifter and I have installed pedal covers. Floor mats are Corvette Racing models by Lloyd's. I also have C5 Logos on the door sills and steering wheel air bag cover, and CORVETTE lettering on the passenger air bag cover. Finally, I have a Deep South Vettes D-shaped steering wheel in perforated black leather with RED stitching.

The last item on my interior wish list is to have a Kenwood DNX9980 installed in a 2-DIN panel on the center stack. Maybe next spring.

Closing Note:

I earlier showed how my carbon-fiber front splitter is actually working to put down force on the front-end of my Z:

That's great news!

But, if the nose of the splitter continues deflecting as shown in the picture, the carbon-fiber will eventually fatigue and fail. So, I added some aluminum reinforcements to the underside of the splitter's nose. The first picture shows the underside of the splitter as it was when I ran at Road America.

After I returned home and noticed the deflection in my wife's pictures, I added three other pieces of alumiunum to support the nose and reduce/prevent the deflection.

That completes this post. Thanks to all those who participated, made helpful - generous comments, and those who found some useful information in its content.

WOW! Its clear that allot of thought and planning along with your engineering ingenuity went into this undertaking. I really admire people like you. I'll be 44 in a couple of weeks and even now, people with your knowledge about automobiles inspire me to go back to college. Thank you for taking the time to post pictures and explain the details of the build.
