Best floor jack for my new Z06?????
I'm gonna be trailering my new Z06 to Autocross events this year and was wondering if anyone knows of floor jacks that fit well under Vettes and are light weight? Also, anyone know of a board for Corvette owners that are Autocrossers? I'd love to get some info from others on alignment specs, etc. for autocrossing.

I don't have it, but it will be my next jack:

Might be a bit heavy to take to autocrosses.

But will that omega get under a z06? I had to drive mine up on some boards first, and then go in behind the front wheels?
How can you lift a car with 1 pump? That sounds pretty wild to me!

$500?!?!?! $600?!?!?! :bs You gotta be kiddin' me?!?!?
Go to Sears and buy the one there for $30 bucks. It's bulletproof, fits under the car perfectly in those little spots Chevy put on the vett and will raise 1 side of the car completely to change both F and R tires on 1 side! It's perfect and priced right. Been using them since 98!!

my sentiments exactly.
sears craftsman floorjack = $29.99
4 craftsman jack stands at $19.99/pair = $39.98
Total floorjack + 4 jack stands = $69.97. take the left over $500 and get an intake, or a partition or go out to dinner a few times with the wife or girlfriend.

I have an AC hydrualic (thats the name of the manufacturer) DK20 jack. It goes down to 3 inches minimum, it weighs 65 lbs, and costs about $200
Its a great jack. I really love it.
For an extra $20, they sell a rubberized lift pad so you dont even need a puck like everyone is using.
do a web search on "AC Hydraulic DK20"...... I forget where I bought mine from, but I have no problem getting way under my 02 Z06 thats been lowered 1 inch.

Thanks a lot for all the input. Well, I sure liked the looks of some of those $500 jacks, especially the one with flames on it! But, I went to Sears today and bought the 2 1/4 ton jack on sale for $29.99. My son-in-law actually has that jack so I was able to test it first. Fits perfectly, light weight and even comes in a nice plastic carrying case.
Thanks for the tip!!

I use a regular floor jack from Sears. Not one of the little "toy" jacks they sell. I have not had good luck with those.
I back my car up on a 2'x6'x36" piece of board. My car is lowered, and this is enough to get the jack both under the back and under the side.
On the side I pull off the jack pad and replace it with a piece of 1/2" cedar. This is soft enough to give, and not mar the rails. I cut it to fit in the pocket opening and not hit the rockers.
Once one corner is up, the rest is a piece of cake.
