we have tried plastic versions, but they never come out very good.
There is someone on ebay that sells a cheap plastic version for like 60 bucks. This was a design we originally tried but felt it looked and felt really cheap so we quit selling them. Actually have a warehouse with 20 or so we will give away if anyone wants them that is local and wants to pick them up.

The original versions weighs less than 2 lbs.....

i have the first gen and love it! impressed with the color and carpet..have the partition with the Z06 emblem they all fit great...although the partition could fit better against the trunk lid...always moves a tad but its a enough that it creates a gap...

The cup holder doesn't really make sense to me back there... It would be cool if you guys could fab up something like what you have but has some sort of piece that goes over the waterfall and has two cup holders just behind the center console. (Take a look at the cup holders on the Pontiac Solstice.) You could even put a nice logo on the waterfall part.

We can certainly do it without cup holders.....keep in mind that the cup holders are not really for active drinking. More for the coffee cup with that last swallow and you have no place to put it....or small items like change or something...

It will move if you slam the trunk lid because of the sudden compression of air. Try push the trunk lid closed slowly and it should not move at all...
Some partitions leave a gap at the top for this reason, but we did not like to look and tried to seal ours a little better, this is downside of a tight fit

I have the 1st gen partition and tray, and I think I like it better than this 2nd gen. I love the idea of the lids over the compartments, but at only 1 3/4, it kinda limits what you can put back there... The open areas of the 1st gen are kinda nice to have when you just need to keep something in place so it doesn't roll around behind you! Both trays are excellent mods though!
. Cause everyone knows they will hundred dollar a man to death....think about it.....gotta have that ol and then theres that. Before you know it you depleated the inventory in the compartment and it's time to refill with cash!
