Default Vredestein tires

so far, to me out perform PS2! I owned the supercar tires (IMO, bad tire!), I owned Michelin PS2 (IMO- great tire, super expensive!) had Toyo Proxies also(Never again-thats for sure) and now these Vredestein Ultrac. WOW is all I can say. What a smooth ride. Quite. Grips just as good as PS2 in dry and as I have just found out, out performs the PS2 in the rain. For the price they are the best thing out there (IMO). All four for under $700. OK, they don't come in OME size for the front. You need to step a size, 275/17, but you really can't tell any difference.
I thought I would throw this out here because they are a new tire (at least for us (vette) and there are not to many write ups on them. I'm telling you guy's..these tires are worth looking into!

Here's a pic of the rears:

I bought my Z06 with these tires on the car and I must say I am impressed with them as well. Low noise, outstanding grip! Very good value!

I wonder how these compare to the nitto nt-05. I'm leaning towards that as my next tire, but I will consider these. Currently I have toyo proxies t1r. I don't like them at all. Yes they last a long time but grip is terrible.

Agree with you on the Toyo's! Don't know about the Nitto's though. Never had them.

Awesome! Great timing too as I am going to be replacing these supercars after Power Tour. Is the tire footprint just as wide as the stock goodyears? I love how fat the tires look on back and don't want to lose that.

As you can see from pic above the tires in back are wide. The fronts are wide too, not like the back though. The backs are series 35 and the fronts 40 so there is that difference. But they are wide! As for as wide as goodyears, I can't say. It's been a long time since I had those on my car. I think the footprint is about 11" or so. I'll take a ruler to it and let you know later on today

That would be awesome if you could do that! It's good to find out more about these. I'm 95% sure that these will be my next tires.

Default Vreds

I have had a set of these for over a year. Living in rainy Washington State and starting out with SuperCar tires that were flat dangerous in heavy rain. Vreds tires are unbelieveable in the rain! My car is a daily driver, at least when I had a job! Great grip rain or shine and I like the way they look. I have approx 24,000 miles on them with little to no wear showing. Great tires especially for the price!

I bought my car last october had the sessentas great tire for sure! I however have maybe got 10k out of mine and will need new tires soon. Very good all around tire way better then toyo T1R's. Just bought a set of bfg kdwII and they run nearly an inch wider then the sessenta's so we will see how they compare. But a+ for the vreds!

Is there any issue or problems with using the 275/40/17 on the stock ZO6 rim which is OEM with 265/40/17? I'm not thrilled with the $1600 cost of PS'2 but I don't want any problems changing sizes either. I wouldn't think it would make any difference but I thought it would be good to ask.
Thanks

Default Vredestein tires

Very good tires. I currently have the ultrac's and I used to have the sessenta's on my last vette. I guess they don't make the sesenta's anymore. For the money I don't think you can beat them. I bought my first set off of ebay and I bought my last set off of a vendor on this forum. If you need a set do a search on this forum.
