Default AMR C5Z goes 10.89 w/ Bolt-Ons

I wish to thank Tommy & Troy of AMR for giving me a strong car. Special thanks to robz for his assistance on the launch. Great to share the day with Dr.Ron, Joe, Tsab, Marshall, Mark, Kyle, Matt & Scott. Oh, let's not forget about Shay ( Miss-Management) and other new people we just met.
The car ran most passes in the 10's. On the last pass of the day, we were able to run a 10.890@125.06 with a 1.465 60'.
Mods are still as follows:
American Racing Headers
Textralia Clutch
Vararam
DRs
Skinnies
4.10 gears
Details to be posted shortly.
BTW- Also ran a new PB trap @ 126.32

AGAINAre you kidding me. It seems like every week someone from AMR is blasting the 1/4 at hyper speeds, setting higher and higher benchmarks for the C5 Z06. Let me congradulate you now for next weeks pass. Seriously Gary, congradulations.

Great runs Gary, it was nice to meet you and the rest of the group friday. I couldn't believe how fast you were going with just bolt-ons, It makes me feel good about owning such a fast car, thanks to you're driving skills.

Next time i'll have you take my car down the track for a few passes aswell, lol!!

I'm happy with the 11.60@120.93 MPH Dr. Ron ripped in my car with just CAI & LT's!

Patrick

Good to have met you also. I never pass up making a run when asked. That may have started a fight with Ron and me. You can use a better set of tires. With more seat time, you will putting up impressive times.

We'll next time out, you and Ron can beat the crap out of my car, .

I just wanted to find out how quick my car really is, and Ron proved it was pretty stout.

I'm ordering a set of 17" C5Z Speedlines along with a set of MT's and a MGW shifter.

With you're track results, I guess Millenium Yellow IS the fastest color, no wonder Corvette Racing uses it!

That will be fun Pat! But I get to go BEFORE Gary, so HE gets the heated up clutch & engine temps!!!

Your car has some more in there as it sits kid. However, if you get the wheels/tires, then we can REALLY launch it nice! I wonder what the record for 60' times is on your current tires. Maybe you can research that and see how my 1.73 rates...I look forward to the chance at lower ET's in your car, but make sure YOU get more seat time first!

Ron

Ron,

I can't wait to get back on the track and you're right, i do need the seat time and i will. I didn't realize how addicting it can be racing these cars. I can't thank you enough for helping me out friday showing me the basics. I had no idea you were Dr.Ron from CF, It's like i met a celebrity!

I just wanted to know how fast my car is, and what better way to find out then have two of the best Z06 driver's do it for me? I was in shock when you took the pass, i didn't realize my car was so fast with the minor mods i have installed.

Ron ran a 11.60@120.93 in his first pass with my Z06 which only has LT's,CAI & Nitto R2's without a dynotune. Time Slip: http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd135/ACRZ06/mac.jpg

Patrick

P.S. Gary, I'll let you do a few more passes than Ron since i hi-jacked you're thread.
