Any idea what the cost was? Is it cheaper to convert a Z06 to a vert, or the other way around?
It's still way

You could always take a C5 convertible and try to convert it into a pseudo-Z06 but it still wouldn't be the same, IMHO. And I'd wager your costs would end up being considerably HIGHER than a Z06->convertible conversion and in the end you'd still only have a clone. The Z06 is a heckuva lot more than just an LS6 under the hood, ya know. :yesnod:
My TR Z06 convertible is wonderful and a real attention getter... once people realize what the car really is!

And that full Caravaggio Z06 GS Convertible conversion doesn't run cheap... $12,500 for the convertible conversion PLUS $15,495 for the GS conversion PLUS $3295 for a removable hardtop and oh yeah, don't forget to add in the cost of the Z06, too. ;)
