[PICS]Sparco Roadster II Install! Check this out! Retained Power and Memory[PICS]
Hey guys After viewing the "who has the most beautiful interior thread I decided it was time to step up my interior.
I love the way it is now, but I have been needing to upgrade the Mod red seats to something that will accomidate a 5 point harness system.
I decided to go with Sparco Roadster II's after seeing Ragtop's seats in his awesome Papaya Orange FRC.
I thought about the carravaggios but you do see them fairly often and rightfully so they are an awesome seat.
I decided to go with the reverse Mod Red in the Sparco here's the install!
Here is Rick getting the Stock Drivers power seat rack off. This requires you remove four bolts that are actually at the four corners of the seat inside the cushion. You can get to it with a box end wrench fairly easy just locate the bolts with your fingers first!
Next we test fit the new brackets from a non sponsor onto the stock track.
We left the bracket bolts loose to that when we put the seat in the car we could move the seat around to make sure all the clearances were good.
Side view:
Almost ready for the seat.
Here we bolted the seat to the brackets using hardware Rick bought at ACE.
Here's the seat mounted to the track!
Next if you have a Brey Krause Harness 5 point latch system you will notice that we flipped the alluminum arm down. This will give you the clearance needed to still retain your factory seat belts and run a clip in style 5 point lap belt. It's tight but it works!
Rick is Getting everything re connected here. We also used 3m Double sided tape to secure the memory and power module to the underside of the seat! This worked great!
Almost ready!
Here's the driver seat in the car! Turned out perfect! We got it situated and then went back and tightened down the bracket bolts!
Rick had to Di Grind out the mounting bracket bolt hole on one of the passenger brackets to make it fit. These brackets are awesome it's just part of most installs
Here's the finished Product! Factory Power seat adjustments in a Race style seat!
I love it the car feels completely different now!
I will get more pics later!
Thanks Rick so much!

Nice installation pics! I'm thinking of going with the Evo 2 Plus. How much higher does the Sparco sit vs. the stock seat?

Nice install. I did something similar with the Caravaggio seats, mounting on the stock rails.
Just one comment -- were the bolts you got from Ace grade 8? If not, I'd suggest replacing them with grade 8 bolts. In an accident, the forces are tremendous, and lighter grade bolts will snap when you really need them. Something to consider.

looks good man, and to think you just got the mod red interior not that long ago.
how comfy are those? caraviggo bases one of their seats off them, with some modifications done, but I thought I read they are for 36" waist or smaller.
I love the fact that you can use the 5 point AND the factory harness, thats a huge plus for a real race seat. only thing I would change is bring the sub belt up threw the seat instead of around it. If you ever tired racing it they might give you **** about it, but your factory harness still work so you're good to go.

if those seats fit you well they should fit me too. Or maybe I'll just have to come to carlise and try them out for myself.
