Wonder how bad it would have lost though without the s/c.

Or, how much faster the Vette would be with a built NA motor. Love the Maggie's, but they're not the ideal setup for road track duty.

Hmm...with instant power, not sure how they're not perfect for track use.

Because instant power usually blows the tires off coming out of a turn and rolling into the gas.

The power can be modulated since it's a roots blower, but the added weight over the nose and extra underhood heat probably aren't ideal for a track-day car.

Heat. Blowers are great! However, they make more heat. The big deal about the new ZR-1 is that GM conquered the heat issue. Or we hope so.

this really sucks for the Porsche "factory" race car.... can even beat a GM modded "street" car....

what a shame....

u guys should post this on the porsche forums to see what excuses they will have

and i dont know where they got a MAGGIED vette pushing 600+ rwhp... more like 525 me think

there is Vette on this board that will kill that Factory porsche....

I owned a 911 years ago and did some track events in it, so I REALLY enjoyed seeing the street Z06 kick its ass. I can tell you from experience they are not an easy car to drive fast with that engine hanging out the back and take a lot of mods to make them neutral.
