Default Is there a difference between Pewter, Pewter Metallic, and Light Pewter Metallic?

In searching for a Pewter colored C5, I have found cars available in Pewter, Pewter Metallic, Light Pewter Metallic, and Light Pewter. Are these all slightly different descriptions referring to the same color or are they all slightly different shades? Thanks for your help!

All the same color.

Light Pewter Metallic is (I think) the correct, full name for it. Most people just call it Pewter.

Yep. Light Pewter Metallic is correct. It has fewer calories than the regular stuff.

Before I got mt '03 coupe I had this '01 pewter vert. It's a very interesting color, mine would change color depending on the amount of light. The colors ranged from silver to charcoal, tan and sometimes even had a greenish tint to it. Very classy color.
Good luck in your search.

They are all the same. Light Pewter Metallic is the correct name for the color. Very nice color for a C5.

I agree that Light Pewter Metallic is the correct name.

However, when I was doing some paint work on my '02 Pewter coupe, I found out that there were eight different paint codes for pewter in the '02 model year. The only way to get a perfect match is by using the VIN number.

While I love my navy blue coupe, this will be the color on my next Vette. Not that common compared to red or black, and I bet it doesn't show dirt or water spots as much as the darker colors. Nice choice!

All refer to Light Pewter Metallic. Mine still looks great after 85000 miles and waiting for me in the hot Texas sun 5 days a week...
