Re: 371 rwhp on 2001 ZO6 just bolt on (01redcoupe)
You have shared this info before. Please first show before and After Dyno's... If you would like... Fax them to me, and I will scan them, and post them for youl. My Fax# is 480-348-9003
Who's Headers are you using? Belanger, TTS, TPIS B&B? Who's?
Typical Z-06 car's tested at TechnoDyne, and ProDyno were in the 340 RWHP Range, Stock. (Mine was 343 with 600miles on it) @ Technodyne. So 50+ Hp would be 390 Range!
If you figure 10 RWHP for an intake, 20 RWHP for Headers, and no cats & Cat Back, I am also at 370... how is this any different? I haven't mentioned the computer... but lets throw in another 5 for that too!
Is this price installed?
Thanks!
Dave
Thanks for the feedback!

I did receive the Dyno Sheets... but unfortunately no graphs, and I received them By Fax, not Email So I now have to scan them to post them. :(
The read outs I got are just the RPM numbers in this format...
RPM POWER TORQUE
500 40 50
600 45 55
etc..
So... yes if you compare the two readouts, there is about a 49hp & 43 Tq improvement.
However the 322 RWHP 'Stock' dyno was done on January 29th, with a Correction factor of 1.03
The 371 RWHP (368.6 on the sheet) was done on AUGUST 6th! with a correction factor of 1.07!!!
Now, this doesn't mean it isn't possible, but this is about the furthest from a controlled environment you could get!
Also, when you get 500 RPM increments, the Peak #'s can be plus or minus a few... so I am sure if we saw the actual graphs... it would indicate close to 371.
However, to claim 50hp, and have test 6+ months apart... prolly not the most accurate...
I would love to see a before & after done within the same day. (atleast the same week) ;)
Peace,
Dave, and it's SCHOTZ! ;)

Ask, and you shall receive.
I just received the fax from Verdone & B&B with the actual Dyno Graph.
Dyno Run done 1/29/01 321.7 RWHP & 321.9 RWTQ Mods (None, Stock Baseline.)
Dyno Run done 2/2/01 331.8 RWHP & 327.1 RWTQ Mods (B&B Cat Back & Computer Mod)
Dyno Run done 4/4/01 355.9 RWHP & 352.4 RWTQ Mods (B&B Cat back & Computer Mod & Headers)
Dyno Run done 8/6/01 368.8 RWHP & 364.3 RWTQ Mods (B&B Cat Test & computer Mod, & Headers) I am guessing 'Cat Test' means no cats.
As you can see there is plenty of questions.
1.) According to these numbers the Cat-Back, and CPU gained about 10 RWHP & 6 RWTQ. Not bad.
2.) B&B has never claimed 20+ RWHP & TQ for it's headers, but these numbers would say otherwise.
2.) Generally on a good Day... an Off-Road pipe would be worth 5-10 RWHP at the Most, these show 13 RWHP.
I think a lot of these variances have to do with the significant time in-between tests.
However... to sum up a few things, the Graph is SAE Corrected, which is a good thing!
And there is a definite improvement with each stage. I love the detailed testing in between mods, just wish they were done a bit closer together.
I would say that 35-40 RWHP can be achieved with this combination, in normal circumstances.
My .02
Dave
Joe, I hope you have found my comments independant, and fair.
Peace
