Default Lightest aftermarket wheels for Z06?

Who makes the lightest aftermarket wheels for the Z? So far, I can't find anything that comes close to the factory Speedlines at 19 lbs. front, and 21 lbs. rear. Thanks...

The SSR Comp-H from Tire Rack are lighter. There are teh CCW's, I will be getting Kodak Racing wheels for the track. They are all about the same weight and lighter than the stock wheels.

I have the FIKSE Profil 10 wheels. They are one of the strongest and lightest wheels available.

There were a few teaser posts about the carbon fiber wheels but no real links to the source. Anyone have details??

Default I think you've got the price a little skewed...

You're looking at $6500 each not for 4. Only $26k in wheels. What a bargain???

Z

After I looked at the link again, I agree it indicates it's the price for 4. Seems hard to believe, but it's there. Oh well.

Wrong. That price is for a set of 4.

C5 set contains four wheels, two fronts 17x9.5 and two rear 18x10.5 in your choice of custom colors. Total shipping weight is 40lbs.

Wow! Only 8 pounds for each wheel. That's phenomenal! 'Course, for $6500 a set, it should be.

Good stuff. Thanks y'all!

Those wheels look awesome and I love the weight savings, hopefully more companies will get into the carbon fiber wheel market and drive the price down.

Does anyone know how ATI bonds the center magnesium section to the CF hoop? I would imagine they're bolted somehow, but it'd be nice to know.

wow those are some serious wheels there. Wish they were just a little bit cheaper, I'd def. rather have an intercooled supercharger instead : )

Repaint your stock Z06 wheels. Thats what I did and it made a huge improvment on the look !

Low $$
and maintain low weight !

I think you would really have to have your head examinded if you went and spent over $9000 between wheels and tires just to save 40 pounds!

I wouldn't spend the money but its 40 pounds of UNSPRUNG weight and that is a substantial weight savings AND performance enhancing (big difference in reducing 'unsprung' weight vs 'sprung' weight)...reducing the effect of rotational mass on braking etc...speed costs $$$$ simple as that...........
