There will a short quiz later, my main issues are the ashtray and cup holder. I got a beter ashtray but it fits in the cup holder and there's one vice versa, wt*e.

Please remove the UTQG ratings from the tires you listed, the UTQG are only to be used to compare a tire rating of the same manufacture ie: kumho to kumho. Not to be used in the list form that you used for other brands in a comparison.

Please correct the link on the O/P about the white paper regarding shaky brakes.

That white paper is now found at:

I have a 02 Z06 with a Twin Turbo and Methanol injection. I found it STRANGE that the AC only worked on Defrost. Upon investigating, I found the EXACT evidence described of a "LEAKING BATTERY".
Can anyone give me some pointers as to the most "Inexpensive" way to fix the AC issue? It is STAYING on DEFROST...
I was thinking about adding a Vacuum pump or something might be the easiest way to supply the necessary vacuum.
What do you think?

Thanks in advance,

Gudmundson

I recommend that you create your own post on your drive train problem. You will get a LOT more looks, responses and assistance.

I will look for your new post and provide assistance.

There is a release opening with a flap to let air out of the car when the hatch is closed. It is located just above the driver side rear compartment behind the carpet and on the side of the car. Not that it really works well.

What is this?? I am curious!

Default Width between motor mount holes?

I am looking t swap in an LS series engine into my truck. I don't have an engine yet, but thanks to a helpful member here I have a set of C5 mounting brackets. I need to determine the width between the mounting holes for the brackets so I can work on fabbing some mount adapters.

I have searched and looked at a number of frame drawings but don't see this info. Thanks for any help.

EDIT
I'd still like the C5 dimensions if possible.
I found the below thread. While the pictures and links are out of date, one post said the measurement is 17.25" or so.
http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/sh...hp?tid/211262/

I found the PDF referenced in an archive, and have attached a copy. It has several LS1 engine dimensions.

File Type: pdf

If anyone is looking into replacing axles: My dealer quoted me $250+ per side for a replacement. I ordered re-manufactured ones from Cardone, cost was like $65 per side and they met or exceeded OE specs.
