First impressions of Innovate LM1 Wideband
The kit is nicely packaged and installation is very straight forward. The unit takes a few seconds to warm the sensor up but is very quick. The readings/display is straight forward and easy to interpert. Here are my results.....
Idle:
Cold: 12.0-12.7:1
Warm: 14.5-15.0:1
WOT: 11.8-12.0:1 (4k to 7k)

If I get a chance tomorrow I'll write up a short post on how I got my LM-1 to output wideband readings to the pcm and then logged it with EFILive. I used a rear O2 input with one of the programmable outputs from the LM-1.
I'd post it tonight but its time to go out and

So far so good, the logging feature is very nice. The RPM feature works great and allows for easy tuning. When you log you can log mutilple sessions and recall each session individually.

hey Phil;
how are you setting up the RPM Converter? are you using their inductive clamp to pick your rpm signal? lastly, where are you picking your rpm signal? seems you are getting a clean RPM signal with your Innovate equipment. I have not been able to get a 'consistently' good signal. One run will be good, the next will be broken up so bad you cannot use it.
I like Innovate for, if nothing else, their customer service. They are very quick to help out. They dont even ask many questions and next thing you know they are shipping you new stuff for free. sweet. I also like that you can get direct replacement O2 sensors from any Voltswagen dealersip for $45. The sensors are quite robust too. I had my exhaust pipe venturi attachment pop off a customer's car at 120mph. the sensor dragged for about a mile, got bashed the siznit out of it. I went back and found my pathetically dinged up venturi tube on the side of the road, cleaned and straightened it up then used both on another tuning session to find all was just fine!! I really want to figure out the RPM feature....let me know Phil

I have the RPM converter(not the clamp) hooked up to my tach signal from the ECU. I held the RPM @ 2k and pressed the button. Calibrated fine.

Re: First impressions of Innovate LM1 Wideband (Heretic)
You can, but I couldnt determine what affect that would have on other stuff with the pcm. I simply used a rear o2 input, connected the high/low to signal/ground on the lm1 through a filter circuit, set the output to 11:1 to 16:1 and made a calculated pid for efilive v6 to take (volts * 5) + 11.
I get some spikey data but I havent had a chance to determine if thats the analog output or the sensor input. It'll be a while because my car is down right now.

I'd like to know more about this. Seems that logging the wideband data in real time with the other engine data would be an excellent way to tune.

Phil, offtopic, where did you get that little wing for your car? How much and what's their number? thanks
