Default Nitto 555RII.....Anyone have them?

Haven't seen much discussion concerning Nitto's new 555RII. Considering switching to these vs. my BFG g/Force Drag Radials as handeling in curves and twisties is compromised....

Is anyone currently using these tires? Reviews, input, opinions...?

If I wereto get them, they would be mounted on my CCW's (18x10 front 18x11.5 rear). Thinking 285/35/18 may cause a little rubbing up front. 305/35/18 may be a tight squeez on the 18x11.5 rim, not to mention possible rubbing due to wheel size, tire height, and wheel offset on CCW...

There is a big thread over on z06vette.com about it. I can't seem to find my bookmark at this point but just do a search, it was in the last few weeks.

305/35/18 will be fine on 18x11.5. Their optimum wheel size is 18x11, the extra .5" won't affect it much.

I luvem. I think under 450 hp they're perfect and handle better than the fi's and are rated to 186. 305 35 18

Thanks. I just checked out the tread on the Z06 Forum.

John at CCW also says they'll work great with his Street Package :smash:

I've had a set on the car since the first of March... prevously ran KD's...
I had the car on the track April 3rd and was totally impressed with the these tires. I had tracked the car with the KD's several times and thought they were pretty awesome, but the Nittos are superior. The compound is incredibly soft (tread wear rated at only 100) so I don't think they are going to hold up as well as the KD's for street use. Of course only a
crazy person  would mount up "R" compounded tires and drive 'em on the street!! It's going to be a fun summer!
