Just picked up my car from Mike Norris.. :yesnod: He installed a NASTY CompCam ..240/244-608/612-114...Radical lope and power to spare in the mid to top end :smash: ..Downright ..Violent !! :smash: Idles at 975..but street friendly so far..Let's see what it does at the track.

I have MTI Stg. II LS6 heads that have been tweaked by LGM when he installed the G5X2. I made 427rwhp and 407rwtq. With break in and SS3800 I last dynoed at 438rwhp and 417rwtq. I attribute the nice gain due to much cooler tempt. then when Lou dynoed. All this through an A4:D

Still trying to decide if I'll next go with the G5X3, FAST and 90mm TB; FI (inter-cooled Magna); or 408ci :crazy:

those are the best power numbers i have seen here on a A4 H/C C5. I say you bolt some slicks on to that bad boy and go for some n/a 10 sec time slips b/f you upgrade. IF your set up won't get you there upgrade to 3.90 gears or 4.10s and a Yank Prothruster 4000 (like i am running a RWHITE) and i bet you can get darn close!!! :cheers: :yesnod: :chevy :chevy

Lou has had a couple other A4 H/C C5's that have put down a little more than mine :reddevil But I've been happy with my set-up.

My best on BFG DR was this December at SAR (San Antonio Raceway). 1.618 60' 7.233 in the 1/8 @95.260mph and 11.314 ET at 119.40mph (-842 DA).

With ET Streets I might come close to breaking into the 10's, but honestly I think my 3.42 gears will hold me back....

Leaning more towards the intercooled Magnacharger as I don't get to the strip as often as I'd like (and I'm only 12 miles away!), and spend more time on the street and highway. :auto:

All of the listed cams would work in a daily driver. The G5X series of cams by LGM may be considered "too much" for a daily driver to some, but I would disagree.

The key is tunning. If tunned properly, they behave very well and have no issues with stalling, surging, cold/hot start, etc.

Really depends on what you would accept. Some don't want lope or an idle more than 850rpm...

dyno #s are a tool to sell parts! not tryng start a flame but my car only dynoed 417 but ran 11.17 @122 and the 1/8 was 7.12 @97.1. and is has those crappie patriot heads or at least thats what other vendors say. not a problem at all! love em :cool:

I dynoed 388rwhp, and ran 11.11 @ 121. :cheers:
With stock internals, I dynoed 316rwhp and ran a 11.62 @ 114. :eek:
