How can I add about 30 horsepower....
I have 422 at the tires right now. My engine mods are 5.3 liter stage 1.5 heads, TR 230/224 cam, Belanger headers, blackwing, ported MAF. What else can I add to squeez out some more power? Thanks, Kaley

I was hoping to stay NA. I heard BBK is coming out with a new intake manifold. Has anyone heard of this?

ditch the Belanger headers for some LG's, that will help. Perhaps also an LS6 intake?
If that doesn't work, some nice LS6 style heads would do the trick, I bet.

Re: How can I add about 30 horsepower.... (pdd000)
I don't want to have a race car. So ditching the front sway bar is out of the question. I have thought about the aluminum flywheel. What gains will I see with this? How many 10ths do you think it is worth? I don't think that the water pump offers enough bank for the buck. At least from what I have read on here.
So here is what I have now on my to do list:
LS6 intake
Aluminum flywheel (what brand?)
Ported throttle body (do myself)
What else??? Thanks, Kaley

alum. flywheel, elec water pump, different headers, ditch the cats, different intake, better tuning, etc. that'll get you at least 30 hp.

LS6 intake would give you maybe 10 - 15 rwhp and LG longtube maybe 10 or 15 and you maybe there :D

422 is some respectable rwhp. If you dont already have the upgraded intake then go with the LS6/02LS1 intake. Before you do this, check the duty cycle on your injectors. If you still have the stock 26# injectors, you might want to think about upgrading to the newen 28.8# or maybe some 30# injectors at this point. Dunno what tuning you have on the car, but if it hasn't been to a real pro for tuning, now would be the time. No recommendation on the TB, no experience as to affect on that. Good luck!

I am kinda happy with my headers. I know they are not the best for horsepower but the tri Y's are suppose to be excellent for torque. From what I have seen the electris water pump doesn't give you more then a few horsepower if that. Thanks, Kaley

I have read that the LS6 intake would not add very much to the rear wheels. Seems like a lot to spend for very little gain.

I have read both good an bad about the LS6 intake and the FAST intake. I am really skeptical about the fast after some of the tests people have done with it. I read that BBK is coming out with a new intake. I might try that or wait to try out the C6 intake manifold. Kaley

I may be wrong, but I wouldn't think the C6 intake would fit your C5. On another note, what bridge are you running?

I have read numerous times that the new F.A.S.T. intake adds 30 HP to an LS1 and LS6.

I think your at the point where it will be hard to add 30 hp without a significant outlay of cash.
Your mods so far sound right on the money. What about a more aggressive cam and LS6 heads and intake?
