+/- of Using a Predator vs. LS1 edit....
I have a mild heads / cam install on my car that needs a tune. I also removed my AIR system and want to program out the light.
What would be the better option?

LS1 Edit and a knowlegable tuner, by far! MOre options, better tailored to your specific needs. Been here and done it.

Yo.. Last time I went to Lamar's in Ga. they had a black C5 on the lift, doing a gear swap. The fuel rail covers were painted and had the word "Mongoose" on them. Is this your old car?

Nope "Mongoose" is an aftermarket package. So say worthless..... needless to say, I removed all the goose junk. My car was from florida, and I still have it.

Buy LS1Edit. You can turn off the AIR diagnostics and then learn to tune. :yesnod:
I believe there is an AIR motor fuse you need to pull...if you haven't already done so. Hope this helps some.
