Re: Performance axle ratio??? (REDGAR)
good luck , when you find one the 2.73's or 3.15's won't be enough. 3.42 or 3.73's is what you will want soon. :yesnod:

Yeah. I plan on going with 3.73's. Does it make a difference on ease or cost of upgrade to the 3.73's if you have 2.73's or the 3.15's. I am guessing it does not since they are both Dana 44's. Is this correct.

Re: Performance axle ratio??? (Dave-T)
Dave I am pretty sure the 2.73 is a defferent case and cannot be rebuilt to be a different gear.
A 3.15 uses the same case as the taller gears so you can have it rebuilt to the gear you want.
If you are going to buy new 3.73s the the 2.73 will make you feel better when you spend the mone cause it is a bigger jump;)
If you are going the rebuild route, get the 3.15.
I think the rebuild route is a little less expensive.
