After looking at this pics again, it looks like the runner section could be removed and/or not installed. That would make the runner lengths oh about 1". You would loose quite a bit of low end torque, but dramatically increase the upper rpm torque. Hmmmmm........

This is really going to require re-thinking camshaft selection. I would suspect that the trend in reverse splits may end up at a symetric profile camshaft if they can get the flow up.

Looking forward to folks making 440HP in a bolt on Z06 car, or a 500HP in a H/C car soon enough....
:iagree:

with a nice healthy cam - fast intake and headers the Z06's will be over the 400 mark at the wheels with no problem..

what is the talk on how much the intake will cost?

The one question I have is are they going to make this intake without the EGR provisions?

I thought I read in my Probst manual that the LT4, LS1, and LS6 didn't have EGR? Or at least, no EGR valve?

That solid model makes it look like the intake is a three-piece unit - base, bottom half of the runners, and top half of the runners...so it doesn't look to me like you could eliminate the runner loops

Or do you mean leave out the green section altogether? That would certainly give you an open chamber, like a large LT1/LT4 manifold.

The L36 intake(n/a Buick 3.8) is built the same way, your able to leave out the middle piece. People have reported a loss of low end power, and a slight increase in peak power, but this is with stock internals.
