Default Keyless entry not working

For the last week or so my keyless entry has not worked. I figured it was a bad battery in the fob since I had not changed the battery. I changed the battery and reset the fob by holding down the unlock and lock bottons at the same time. It honked and opened when I pressed unlock. After I got out of the car, I tried to lock it with the fob. It did not work. Reset again. Same thing. It will work for a minute or so if I reset but I have to reset everytime I want to open or lock my car. It does not feel as cool to use the key. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

according to the owner's manual if resynchronizing the transmitter doesn't help you can try matching the transmitter to the car. the procedure is in the O.M.
if you're interested in getting a second remote this place sells OEM 50% off. http://www.keylessride.com

I had the same problem. Turned out that a new FOB did the trick. Fortunately it was covered by warranty.

It could be the remote itself. I had a vehicle yesterday that acted very similar.
It could also be the receiver. Some of the older ones had problems with them.
I would suspect the remote first if your tire pressure monitor is working properly.
(it's the same box for keyless entry and for the tire monitor)

I had this same problem, just stand next to the car and hold both the Unlock and Lock buttons down for about 10 seconds, then you will see the lights flash and the FOB has been reset.

Good Luck!

Have you tried your second remote? It might help troubleshoot your system. Good Luck :smash:
