Default Z06 WHEELS 20" AND 19 " FACTORY STYLE OR MOTORSPORT

Just got call from my supplier. He wanted to know if anyone would be interested in the Z06 wheel either in the Original or the new Motorsport design in a 19" and 20". These wheels will be in the 9.5 in the front and 10.5 in the rear.
Also available is the Z06 Orginal or Motorsport painted center with polished lip. The painted center can be color matched to the car. Call me for details.

19" fronts and 20" rears would be great, but 18" and 19" would be even greater IMO!
I prefer the original style. Don't like the rounded lip and the weight disadvantage of the Motorsports. :nopity

Why?

The largest available tire for a 20 rear is a 285/30/20, which is best suited to a 10" wheel.

Not true. Pirelli makes the PZero Rosso in a 345/25/20. Would be perfect for a 20x12 or 20x12.50. How bout those sizes?

I am aware of that size....but my point was, what's he gonna put on a 11" rim that he can't on a 10.5?

Yep, and the tire would be another 30, but it sure would look good cruisin' down the street. By no means an ideal race/track set up, but a great show/cruise set up.

For those that trip off weight of the wheels...

If a wheel weighs 25lbs and another wheel weighs 30lbs... How much of a difference is that actually gonna make...

25x4=100lbs
30x4=120lbs

Now this is just from what I have heard but rotating mass is equal to 4x as much as regular weight in your car. If this is true...

20x4=80lbs extra....

Now if all this is correct can you really notice 80lbs in your car? I can't notice when a friend is in the car...

I understand for racing if that's your whole deal behind the Vette. But for others you arent going to notice 80lbs...

Don't care for the 20" but if there was a 19" on the market right now I would be looking at it. I just talked to dan today about his OE concepts wheel that I am thinking of buying and asked if he had a 19", he didn't but I am not going to wait until someone decides if they are going to make one. :banghead:

stop teasing us... all u keep hearing is that there "might" be a ZO6 style rim offered in 19" or 20"

to those who want a 18" F/ 19" R.... no matter how u look at it, if they come out with a 19/20 combo, u will still be able to buy the 19s for the rear and the current 18s for the front (depending on the widths)

so vote for the 19/20 combo.

i forget, is the "Motorsport" version the wannabe 3-piece look with the fake studs around the perimeter?

Actually it makes a BIG difference, dont look at the over all 20lbs that are gained, instead see the 5 extra pounds that need to be turned. Rotational inertia makes all the difference

For those that trip off weight of the wheels...

if they weigh too much for your car, dont buy 'em? obviously people dont want these to track so weight isnt the biggest issue in the world. 19/20 plz. ill keep stock for the track.

My dream setup would be the Motorsport rims 18" f and 19"x 11.5" or 12" in the rear. I have a Z06 already and would like to upgrade to a larger diameter and wider wheel. If wider rubber is available for the 20" in the rear then I would vote that way, but it seems there are not alot of options for 20"x11" or 20"x12".

Also I would like these POLISHED and not chromed.

I really hope these get made!

Thanks

What are the motorsport rims? Does anyone have any pics?
