How sad. I pray for the repose of his soul and comfort to those who mourn. Let's all be careful out there. :blueangel:

Keith, Rom worked for a major pharmacutical here in NJ. Not a cop, Pig is the policeman here.

My prayers are with his family and friends. I never met him, but I remember the Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords article that featured his C5. He had one of the first 97's out there.

Mark,
I can't imagine what you are going through right now. Rom was a pleasure to be around. He was one of the first people I met at the track and he always gave me good ideas and info. Thursday night I could not get to sleep thinking about him and his poor family and friends and what they are going through right now. He loved that car and he always kept it is such great shape. He never really beat on it and I remember at the last dyno day we had to talk him into putting his car on the dyno. The last time I had seen Rom was at Atco a couple of weeks ago. We will never forget him :blueangel:

I just wanted to say that it broke my heart to start that first thread on Thursday. Seeing the helecopters overhead, and later finding out from my coworkers what they had just reponded to put a knot in my stomach.
After working yesterday, and talking to all the men who had responded to the accident, I can say this: Two CFD Engine Companies responded, CFD rescue ambulance, hospital paramedics, CFD deputy chief, and multiple Police units.
All of the firefighters on scene were also EMT's, and from my conversations with them, did everything humanly possible to try to save Rom's life. His passenger was extricated, and taken to University Hospital In Newark, which is a Type 1 ER trauma center.
I applaud Justin, who selflessly ran to Rom's aid while other bystanders did nothing, even though the telephone pole was broken nearly in half, carrying 15,000 volts just overhead.
I did not have the opportunity to know Rom, but I can see from the outpouring of letters, he was loved, and will be surely missed.
With all Respect,
Lieutenant William Henn

Hi guys,
I was with Romolo and his friend during his last moments. I didnt know either one of them but I drove up on the scene to help. I didnt know it was this bad until I actually got to the scene.
I posted about it on one of my car forums. You can read about it here.

Out of respect for our friend Romolo who was an active supporter of the Corvette Challenge in New Jersey as well as a supporting sponsor, I am taking down our corvette challenge web page to honor him.
