Default Voltage varying

My Z06 voltage is varying. I can start it and it will be at 12.5 volts whole time running. Then shut it off and next drive will be at 14 volts. Then next time 13 volts. I'm guessing my voltage regulator is going bad. Really question is is the regulator built into the alternator. If so can I replace just the regulator or is it time for alternator rebuild.

...and you have already inspected the connections at the alternator/battery for condition and security, correct?

Inspect the cables at the starter solenoid, this is where the alternator output cable and battery cable are connected.

I checked connections at battery and alternator but not the others. In fact I have a brand new battery. The old one died after 8 years.

Try cleaning the ignition switch contacts.

The regulator and brush assembly can be replaced. I just replaced mine with this one: https://store.alternatorparts.com/m5...-corvette.aspx
