Default Re-wire horn

The previous owner of my C5 replaced the steering wheel with an aftermarket removable one. The horn was disconnected then and no longer works. I have not gone into the instrument panel in search of the wiring.

Although it is now a track car, I would like to have a working horn. Is it possible to “Hotwire” the horn directly to a 12v power source with a button in the circuit to activate a honk?

If not, what is the voltage of the horn, how do I restore the interrupted circuit, and where may I place a button in that circuit?

I do not have a wiring diagram or service manual. I have located the horn in front of the front passenger wheel.
