Old C5
My 2000 C5 has over 348,000 miles on it.
This am it started fine and backed out to the street fine but when shifted to drive it moved about 1mph forward and reverse the same. Later it started and moved as normal. Any ideas? Emergency brake was not on.

With that many miles have you experienced the gas guage and ecbm issues like everyone else talks about. My 2000 has that guage issue

Melting Slicks
Many c5 corvette owners get in the car and just turn the key to start the car, but you should turn the key to the On position and let the gaugrs sweep and the indicators turn and off, also check for any messages on the DIC. What you are describing is a common problem related to the steering column lock which causes a 2mph fuel shutoff. You should get a pull key wait 10 seconds message when this happens, but I have had this happen without the message. This problem can be caused by low battery voltage, I would have your battery tested.
