The same goes with Schmuck, he has no fitment issues but it's obvious that his car doesn't have the OEM LS6 Intake and also assuming TB but could be wrong.

I'm not sure what's going on with RoadPilot but I guess my RainX wiper blades is hot rodding? Kind of a joke to say but to each their own. Also I never "complained" about the price... I obviously knew what it cost when I bought it. Your input has 0 contribution to resolving a problem that fellow Corvette enthusiast/business owners are having.

AGAIN. This thread was never about bashing Halltech or anyone that works there. I simply started to ask if anyone has had any issues with the fitment, filter, coupler or all of them together.

Back to what Kubs previously stated I am/was having the EXACT issues that he was describing and if anyone else is then maybe this thread will help them too. That was exactly the point of this thread and another reason why this is a great forum.

If anything I'm happy as to where this tread has gone because obviously there is an issue and there is now a path forward to fixing it.
boostbandit1 ... we're glad you started this post. The end result will be an improvement in our C5 conversion systems. You'll be the first to get the fix. We spent the weekend and today engineering a few solutions. Give us another couple days and we should have something to send you. Thanks again everyone.

This is great! Most companies would just dismiss a few complaints from some guys behind a keyboard. Im impressed by the fact Halltech took it upon themselves to acknowledge an issue and find a way to correct it.

I could not agree more! I'm very excited and happy that there's a solution. Just more of a reason to do business with Halltech!!

I think part of the issue is the coupler. Kubs and yourself both used the 4ply hose coupler where I used the hump hose coupler. Kubs is on a TPIS modifed LS6 intake where I use a FAST 92mm, which are pretty much the same intake, and we both use a silver blade 90mm throttle body.

I am using the coupler that came with the kit. Im willing to try another one. What are you using? Quick google search did not yield a hump hose with a 4.5" to 4.0" reduction.

Just chiming in to say I bought this killer bee intake last spring and had the exact same fitment issue. Radiator, intake, throttle body on my car are all stock. I fussed with the thing for days, back and forth with Dru trying his various suggestions and nothing made it fit right. The shape was just not correct and the hood would not close over it. I returned the part and was charged a 20% restocking fee. I contested that the part was defective if it can't be installed on the car and he agreed to waive the restocking fee, I just had to pay shipping both ways.

I'm surprised this issue is still ongoing.

Just a generic 4" hump hose. The OD of the KB is just over 4", the OD of my 90mm silver blade is just under 4". Even with tape on the throttle body it slides right one.

It also fits on my 103 throttle body, not very easy though.

The Killer Bee intake tube I have is 4.5" OD so I need the reducer coupler. I wonder if there was a design change at some point and its only the later versions that have issues, in addition to the supplier change.

You can find people giving away these stock LS7 air bridges that will flow plenty for a LS6 car.

Can this be used on an LS1?

Good to know. I purchased a Blackwing and have experienced pinging. Was thinking about just putting the OEM airbox back on, but if this is an option i might pursue it instead.

I bought my tube on 12/21/2022.

I have an old Halltech bridge I can measure.

Hey everyone, I'll post photos later of our new TPU custom hose to solve this issue. The perfect length, the perfect intake diameter, and the perfect t/b diameter. Complete with hose clamp location slots, and our logo.

3D printing saves the day! Great job! So does that mean people will get different couplers depending on what TB they are running? Most likely need to offer a LS6, LS2 and 102 size couplers?
