2005 Vortech V2, NOT A&A, serpentine belt change. HELP
I have a 2003 6-speed with an older, original Vortech V2 supercharger with intercooler made by Vortech. they can't help, aa can't help. i bought with the SC already installed and they put on a 5 rib green gates serpentine belt. it is bad and looking at how to replace. FYI, was told nee a 6 rib belt, Gates# K061045 13/16 x 105.
it looks like i have to remove blower and intercooler but have no idea how to proceed. the Vortech install instructions are not helping.
anyone out there that can help, thank you.

Pics help a lot. People here are normally very happy to help however more info would be very useful to see about getting you going in the right direction.
That said I suspect you will have to remove the SC. I've got an A&A kit and I have to remove it to change the belt. It might take you an hour or so the first time. 20ish mins once you get the process down.
I'll keep my eyes on this and help as much as I can.

I just changed the 8 rib green belt on my ECS Paxton Novi 2000 supercharged engine last week. Simply relieve the tensioner pully near the crank, thread the new belt around all the supplemental pulleys. You will end up with the new belt on the underside of the black water pump pulley. To complete the job, pull back fully on the main tensioner pulley and push the belt under the water pump. Done. Will probably need a second set of hands to guide the belt under the water pump pulley as it takes quite a bit of strength to hold the tensioner wide open for long. Good luck

cold air intake and SC are butted up against the pulleys so no way to replace without removing both. just need a diagram so i'm not removing bolts that don't or shouldn't be removed.
thanks.
thanks.

I doubt you're going to find a diagram. Just take it apart, although if you're lack so much confidence that removing a blower head unit on your own is unthinkable then you should be paying a shop to do it.

first car with a supercharger, didn't install. mainly wondering if there are springs, ball bearings what ever that i need to be careful with when disassembling. is something that will need to be done after replacing...............no lack of confidence just don't want to the be that guy that tried and failed and then cost me even more. you tube great but have found nothing and as stated in beginning, neither vortech or a&a were any help.
so while on that topic......... was the Vortech 2 supercharger for c5 corvette discontinued for a reason, why did vortech stop making them?????

The kit never really took off as A&A and ECS took over the centrifugal market. You may have better results in the forced induction section:

The last post may help some.I doubt A&A or ECS can help much, you may have to reach out directly to Vortech.
