I cant seem to find/trust the aftermarket TPS for a 1999 C5.
Anyone have luck other than buying OEM on the 1997-1999 series

Not to sniper this thread......... too are having an issuse with said TPMS. I bought somemore "MORESENSOR" haven't installed them yet. But my question is How in the Hell can I delete the message: "FlatTire RR and LF" Do Not exceed 55MPH" off the message window ? I have tried to reset per online instructions, but no avail. Thanks

Or, try to take the car on a 10 minute drive and see if this resets.
My TPMSs went crazy after a service shop put 45 lbs of pressure in each tire for some reason.
It took a ten minute drive after I set the right pressures for them to get set to the new reading and for the messages to disappear.

Thanks Mr Corvettezman for the advice . I will try both. So the way i understand it, the tire pressure stated on the door jomb is programmed in the computer. So I inflate or deflate the tires to that PSI and then travel for 45 minutes. Now is that in town driving or interstate driving at those speeds or back roads at low speeds ? Which ever it is it will relearn the TPMS ? I'm also running non-run flats. Will that make a difference? And if the air temp is 70s or 80s , do I stop and manually check tire pressure and adjust it to the door jamb specs? I will try to do the things you said that might help with my problem.
Thanks Again for the help

I too have been struggling with the TPMS sensors on my 2003 C5...
Bought new wheel/tires from Top Flight that came with TPMS installed. Tried programming them, no luck, but I could easily program my original wheels. Thought maybe I got screwed on the sensors since they had just a black, rubber valve stem.
Ordered new sensors from Zip Corvette, received Schrader 20117 sensors, 315 mhz, manf. date 3/2/22. Had my tire shop install the sensors (wheels off car) and re-balance. The original sensors in wheels from Top Flight were Hybrid 2.0 HTS-2200, 315/433 mhz. Got those home, mounted on car, still no joy with speaker magnet, but sitting original wheels next to car, still able to program those with speaker.
So, I ordered an actual re-learn magnet, still no luck with the new wheels with the Schrader 20117 TPMS.
From what I have gathered in this thread, the newer versions of 20117 will not program with a magnet, I need the OEC-T5 tool, is that correct?
Looking at the OEC-T5 tool on Amazon, there are many to choose from, anywhere from $10 to $20. They all say for model years 2006-2022, is that no longer a true statement since apparently the older cars are going to the newer style TPMS? I guess I'll try the one from Amazon linked above.

I began the "learn sequence" by triggering the procedure on the car's DIC. I then put the LF tire adjacent to the module, and worked the magnet on the LF tire, until the car acknowledged it. As soon as that happened, I rolled the LF tire away, and rolled the RF tire to the same spot, in front of the left rear of the car, and worked the magnet until the car acknowledged the RF tire. I repeated this with the rear tires, and everything turned out fine......so far.

Just got my OEC-T5 tool delivered. Less than 5 minutes after delivery I had my tires programmed!!! Thank you Corvette Forum for helping me with this issue.
One quick question, when I go to put my "winter" tires/wheels back on, will I still have to do those with the magnet, or will this OEC-T5 work on them too. The winter tires TPMS worked with the magnet. It's no biggie really since I now have both the training magnet and the OEC-T5 in the tool box.

I gambled and buy these for the 1999
There you go . At 27 bucks, they're worth a shot. Your OEM are 120 bucks a piece.

Felt I should share this with the forum. So I always driving along down here in the highway and I ended up running something over I didn't realize and it caused the tire to deflate almost instantly. The difference between OEM and these aftermarket ones is my tire deflated and the information cluster said the tire was fully inflated I kept going for like about 3 min when it was obvious the tire had no air. Once I stoped the car told me the tire was flat. Nearly ruined the tire. Once I filled it I took about 2 miles at highway speeds before registering pressure. Although they are a good value the lack of instant response can cost you a new tire.

I ended up paying about $60 - 65 for Schraders thru Belle Tire when I got my ‘98 tires - I didn’t want any controversy about not programming so I bought thru them at tire change. 🤷🏻♂️

I have a 2003 Vert where the TPMS no longer work and I'm due for new tires (more than 10 years old).
I'll just buy the tires and TPMS at Discount Tires and have them install everything and save a lot of headaches.

Would that be the one on Rochester Rd just north of Big Beaver? I ask because I am moving back up to there and need my tires dismounted to see if I even have sensors. Bought wheels and tires from Get Your Wheels and specified sensors. Neither magnet or sensor reset tool can get a response, I am thinking they were not even installed.
