Default MGW Shifter

I had the chance to try out a buddy's C6 with his new MGW shifter installed and I was impressed. I called MGW to ask if I could order one that allowed me to use my stock leather covered ****, but didn't get a clear answer, so I'm asking here.

Of course, the leather **** threads on but locks in place with a keyway.

Thanks and sorry for the dumb question, but the MGW guy wasn't very helpful.

Put a jam nut under it to lock it in place.

The stock C5 ****? If so they have an option to use the weird locking mechanism for the stock shifter.

Yes, was planning on using the stock leather ****. Just ordered so we'll see how it works out.

One more question.

A couple years ago I picked up a set of washers for the Anti-Venom mod on the tranny but I haven't installed them. Is it recommended to do the mod with the MGW shifter?

Thanks,

I did one washer before adding my MGW shifter, but I'm not sure it was even needed. I'd suggest doing the shifter install first then reevaluate, but you're really going to like that shifter!

Thank You sir!

I'm sure it will be great. I thought the stock shifter was fine until I sat in my buddy's C6 with his new MGW.

Wow! What a difference.
