Mark,I'll drive your car back for you,I promise to keep it under 180. :steering: I had a conference call with Julio and Dave today about my car,let's just say they're very motivated to get it to the Breathless event,the only thing that will prevent it from happening is if some parts don't show on time.I'm probably flying down on the 7th regardless for Speedweek at Daytona,I have VIP passes to Rusty Wallace's garage and Miller Lite suite if you're interested.

Hey everyone I was just wondering if all the Head and cam C5s turn about 122mph in the quarter? Is it that running the slicks makes you quicker but also makes you loose mph? If you guys ran these cars on street tires would you gain some mph? I was thinking about doing a heads and cam package on my car, but $8000 doesnt really seem worth 4 mph to me? Im pretty sure that with the few mods ive done I should easily trap over 120 now. But then again the slicks might be whats slowing down the mph? Please understand that im not knocking anyone just need to be educated. Thanks

Not only is it the slicks but it is the different gears too. Just like when you spin off the line sometimes you turn more mph but get a worse time. You get more speed since you have more time to run the 1/4 mile. I think I got my taxes figured out and I am calling CARTEK tomorrow about getting my X package

Yeah, with a little more seat time I hope to be trapping at least at 125mph, that was my 1st time out with this setup. Also, I found out after my runs that my alignment was WAY off, like 3 degrees negetive toe in the rear, just crazy. On every shift it felt like the car was going to hit the wall, so I didn't shift that hard. Next time out, I'll going all out! :yeanod:

Hey Mike, next time Atco opens, I'm there!!! Although I'm a little concerned that the traction might suck on opening day, what do you think? I'm contemplating going to Florida and driving down with Dave and the boys. Just have to see if I can get the days off work. Would love to go though.
