I have the Toyo's as well and like them. Good tread wear and design matched with good performance. BTW, they still spin :D

The firestone's are a good value .. lots of people run those.
I've got a set of Pirelli P-Zero's, with under 500 miles on them, that I'd sell as well...

Look at the Kumho MX 600 a set from Tirerack in stock C5 sizes. They have a reputation and BFG KD's at half price.

WELL, Honestly, if the Purchase of the C5 didn't rip your billfold in half then the tire purchase shouldn't.
In general, . The S03's may be a good option for you. Personally, for stickiness, the KD's may be at the top but they are somewhat expensive, hard to get and will wear quickly.

i have the nitto 555s currently and they spin endlessly.
so we have 2 for TOYOs
2 for Kumhos
and 1 for SO3s? What are the SO3's?
i looked at a road race Kumho tire, but they seem a little too low profile, not sure if they would look OK?
THanks guys

well, i am in school at this point and have not yet sold my last toy. Dad pays insurance and i pick up the rest, so i am a little stretched w/28 credit hours(chiro school), finacial aid(thanks U.S. gov.) and a part time job.

The S03's are Bridgestone. They somewhat replaced the S02's - I say that because the S02's may still be available. Anyway, my feeling is the TOYO is comparable to the NITTO. Once again, if you want the stickiness then treadwear life will suffer a bit. If you want longer treadwear life, you'll lose "stickiness". If you want a 'fair amount of both" you'll PAY more $$$. So its just a matter of balancing the combo.
BFG G-FORCE KD's (Not the KDW's) are thought to be the stickiest street radial out there but they are very expensive (and always seem to be on National Backorder!) and of course will not last very long. They also some no smaller than 295's in the rear (the same size as the Z06 F1 Tires) but will fit over the C5 (Non-Z06) RIMS - but barely.
Thats why I think the S03's might be your choice. They are a bit more expensive than the Nittos but not nearly as expensive as the the PILOTS. BRIDGESTONE also has a 30 day trial for all their tires. You can't beat that - just don't throw away your Nittos! Also remember that when you first try a tire, it will always seem better than the tires you have now because they have lots of miles. The trick is to try and remeber what the Nittos were like when you first bought them and how long it took before they were "spinning endlessly."

Re: a good sticky tire,
I use the S-03s and love them....great dry traction and better wet traction than the Firehawk SZ. Let me know if they would be an option for you. I can still get great prices on them in reg, or Z06 sizes.... :yesnod:
OH,,,,and has a pretty cool tread pattern as well

My previous tires are Nitto 555 and they go from sticky to super slippery in 1 year :mad
I now have Kuhmo MX for the rears and I love them. I car bogged at the track when I was launching at 3000rpm with 30 psi  I have 383 rwhp. You can get the whole set for about $600.

OOOPS, i forgot to mention that i have Z06 wheels. Does this pose a big problem? I am currently running the Nitto in a 285/35-18 and it doesnt look goofy or anything. Could be a bit bigger, but not much.

i'm looking at this tire, i think it will suit me well. Reasonably priced and will hopefully hook better than the nittos. i will say though, the Nitto 555 has lasted awhile.

They are closing out on the fronts (40% off) but you will have to fork up
the $$$ for the rears.

And these should fit fine on the Z06 Wheels. But call to make sure.

Aren't the rears too wide for his wheels?
