Default Anti-backflow valve in fuel line

Dealer says the check valve in my fuel line that prevents a fuel pressure drop as soon as I turn the key off is bad and not available from GM or aftermarket. Any suggestions? Anyone with a spare new one? Helps/Hints? Original part #10448899 superseded to #10413425. They advised against installing a used one.

Thanks!

I too found this site, but all three sites it refers to say "No longer available" or "Out of stock" and the oemcats site itself doesn't actually have any of the part either.

Sounds like it's just a hose with a check valve in it. Could this not be made with some generic off the shelf check valve?

Perhaps; by cutting into the line at the 3/8 part and prior to the bad valve. BUT, the lines are hard plastic and I'm real leery of cutting those................................... ....OregonDan

Wonder if you could just recreate the line with rubber hose, a few of
these adapters these adapters
, and a generic check valve like
this this
. I think I have the same issue since I've got a bit of a rough start if I don't let the fuel pump prime for a second or 2 before cranking.

Again, perhaps. It's a split line part 3/8, part 5/16 so creating a new one of soft rubber would require using a split-size "Y" as well as two different size hoses and a bunch of clamps. I'm not that industrious............................. ..................OregonDan

Resurrecting an old thread here. I have an 04 Z06 and I suspect I may have a problem with fuel pressure in my car. The part number referenced here seems to only apply to 03 and earlier C5s. Can anyone explain why the 04 is different? Anyone know the correct part number for the check valve in an 04? Thanks very much.

Because the late '03 and '04 cars have a different fuel system. These cars share the fuel system with the C6 except for the ZR1 which had it's own thing going on.
