Anyone have to replace their tensioner pulley?
My tensioner pulley is making a loud noise...think it might have to be replaced soon. Anyone have any similar problems...? Thanks!

I had the same problem, the one located on the drivers side, made a metallic sound, changed it and no problems

GmasterB,
The tensioner pulley and alternator were replaced on my 1999 C5 coupe by the dealer due to a "shift rumble", based upon a revised TSB.
The replacement alternator (generator according to the TSB) later quit working while I was out-of-state on vacation. It stranded me and had to be replaced.

Good morning GMB,
Yes, on warranty...known TSB....I would call it the "Chipmonk Monk" syndrome.
I believe there are two tensioners and one idler. Also, an upgraded alternator may be called for.
This TSB procedure is the only know cure.
