Default Tighten Remote Bleeder w/o Removing TT?

All, I sold my C5 FRC to a friend and after a year of ownership it developed a fluid leak from the bell housing. While it could be the rear main seal, we think it's likely coming from the TOB. It has a remote bleeder that has been added. He has it up in the air and is getting ready to drop the inspection plate soon. My question is, if it is leaking from the TOB can these connections be tightened with the TT still in the car or does the TT have to be removed? Also, is that answer true of both connections, meaning is dropping the TT depending on which connection is leaking or does it need to be dropped regardless? Does that make sense?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Kurt

So, is it engine oil or brake fluid that you find?

It’s definitely brake fluid. Just trying to keep him from having to pull the TT but it may be inevitable?

I've heard about pulling the intake and laying on top to get to the connections, but you better have really small hands. You should be able to lower and push the TT and rear cradle back far enough to see what's going on, then fix the issue without completely dropping everything.

OK. Thanks. It turns out it’s leaking where the braided hose is linked to the fitting that screws into the bleeder on the TOB. I guess he will need to drop the rear cradle and inch the TT back.
