Default Trans Help

Transmission needs to be rebuilt 4l60e 2000 Vert . I’m in DALLAS , don’t want to take it to just anyone. Car does 415rwhp. I want to get a trans that will hold 650 hp . Plans are to throw a A&A at it. My question is MonsterTrans a good source or maybe someone here in Dallas. Recommendations please... TIA .....

I don't know anyone in the area that builds high hp autos, you might consider sending it to RPM... Jason at Texas Drivetrain built my 6060 and I would recommend him for a manual but I don't think he does autos, you could ask him and see if he has a local recommendation... https://m.facebook.com/TexasDrivetrainPerformance/

Send it to https://www.performabuilt.com/ in Pennsylvania. They're a sponsor here and can satisfy your needs. Give them a call - they'll tell you how to ship the trans and build to your specs. I sent them mine five years ago and had it back in two weeks. No problems with the trans in that time and I drive it hard.

I've used Monster twice now to rebuilt a couple 4L60E's. Both were built with all the HD upgrades they had and both are still doing great today. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I also purchased a reusable transmission shipping container from a company in Sacramento that has proven very useful over the years.

when searching for performance trannies for a factory five build a few years ago i came across far too many terrible reviews for Monster. i got very turned off if that company. It seems like playing russian roulette. You might get one thats flawless or one thats crap.

I had this gentleman recommended to me in the past. I sold the car but had a long talk with the owner - smart guy and when/if this trans goes out it's going to him.

Everything suggested here sounds good except Monster. They are straight up garbage. My preference is RPM. They are expensive, but they do great work. Ask about the deal they offer on future rebuilds. If you're going boosted this will not be your last rebuild.
