I strongly encourage it. I empty mine about once a month, and get at least a tablespoon out of it every time.

I bought one via Amazon that has a dip stick and costs peanuts. It's mounted with a bracket on the front of the passenger side head, I think the bracket is from a well known company but I bought it about a year ago and don't remember the specifics anymore.

I use the Elite Engineering catch can also. Was easy to install and good quality.

Look very clean. I like how the can sits low. Why is your oil fill line going to the TB and not the Intake manifold?

I installed 2 catch cans. The main crankcase can mounted low on the front of the engine and venting into the intake manifold and a clean side can (actually filter) that collects oil from inside the valve covers...it is the one venting to the TB. Previously (stock) the valve covers were vented directly into the TB.

Does anyone know if its normal that the caught oil is in the drain hose rather than in the can?

This is after about 280 miles.
