Felt a rescuing harmonic sound???
So I need your direction, last couple times I had the C5 for a ride I can feel and hear a hermonic like drown ( picture a oval) it comes in soft - peeks out- then starts over. Some times louder then other times and definitely a repeating pattern, cruise control on and trans is locked up in 4th gear. Road surface does not seem to matter.
is it time to rebuild the torque tube? Bearings? The speedo shows 76,000 and I don’t know the history with what’s been done to the car? Looking forward to your input and thanks in advance, cruzbox

I agree with starting here. It wasn't my vette, but on my Toyota pick-up I chased a similar sounding issue for over a year -- drive shaft, axel bearing, suspension components, all to no avail. Decided to try yet another tire balance, and this time the tech called me over to show me the tread separating at speed.
